Intesa Sanpaolo and University of Oxford celebrated strategic partnership

Carlo Messina, Intesa Sanpaolo’s Chief Executive Officer, and Professor Louise Richardson, Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, signed the agreement on strategic partnership between the two institutions, last Friday.

The partnership agreement sees Intesa Sanpaolo support research into management studies including the funding of an Intesa Sanpaolo Research Fellow at the Said Business School as well as the naming of an Intesa Sanpaolo Lecture Theatre in the School. Carlo Messina attended a formal signing ceremony at Oxford University’s historic Convocation House, where he was presented with a scroll to confirm his appointment as a Visiting Fellow of the University of Oxford.

Later on, as part of the Distinguished Speaker Seminar series, Carlo Messina spoke on the future of the financial services industry and the responsibility its key players hold towards community together with Alan Morrison, Professor of Law and Finance at Saïd Business School and Rupert Younger, Director of the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation.
