Intesa Sanpaolo supports Italian talent at Milan’s international furniture fair
Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting the Salone Internazionale del Mobile. Milano – Milan’s furniture and design fair – as lead corporate partner for the second year running.
At the same time, it is seeking to raise the profile of emerging Italian talent with the presentation of the SaloneSatellite Award. Now in its ninth edition, the project promotes direct contact between young designers and exhibitors.
Also for Fuorisalone, a range of public events is taking place in the prestigious setting of the Gallerie d’Italia and the bank’s flagship branch in Piazza Cordusio.
Intesa Sanpaolo’s contribution to the fair comprises initiatives aimed at promoting emerging talent and the entrepreneurial scene in Italy, as well as ongoing assistance in the development of SMEs and the “Made in Italy” brand.
One of the highlights of the show, on 18 April in the SaloneSatellite Arena, was when the winning emerging designer (aged under 35) was named as Stefano Carta Vasconcellos from Italy. His work Cucina Leggera (Light Kitchen) won him €5,000 from Intesa Sanpaolo and an artwork engraved by designer Luca Trazzi, whose light installation Dandelion is set up in the Gallerie d’Italia during the Salone.
For the first time, Intesa Sanpaolo Casa will host a Fuorisalone event on 20 April in the Piazza Cordusio branch, in collaboration with Trazzi, who will talk about his relationship with the bank during a jazz aperitif open to the public.
An Intesa Sanpaolo infopoint is set across the exhibition areas of Rho-Fiera, open from 9.30am-6.30 pm, along Corso Italia (pavilions 9-11), on all public days of the fair, providing a wealth of information about the Group.
