Artworks from Intesa Sanpaolo collection on display in New York

Milan, February 18: Artworks from Intesa Sanpaolo’s extensive art collection are currently star attractions of two different exhibitions in New York. Until March 06, visitors to the Italian Cultural Institute of New York can admire four masterpieces by Lucio Fontana alongside works of other artists of the Italian avant-garde, such as Manzoni and Castellani. They form part of the Spatial Explorations exhibition, which takes as its theme the visual interpretation of significant scientific discoveries of the mid-20th century. Two more of the bank’s paintings signed by Lucio Fontana are on show at the MET Breuer museum. Lucio Fontana: On the Threshold is a major retrospective of the artist’s life and work, running until April 14.
